President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that the Iranian government and nation are interested in progress and economic development of Afghanistan.

In a meeting with Afghan Vice-President Abdul Karim Khalili, he said the Afghan development and progress can be achieved through efforts of the Afghan government and nation.



Tehran has no restriction for boosting all-out ties with Kabul, the president said, adding that the Islamic Republic of Iran government and nation always stand by the Afghan government and people.



Referring to great potentials in both countries for further expansion of bilateral ties, he voiced Tehran's readiness to provide Kabul with its experiences in various areas of transportation, higher education, anti-drug campaign, agriculture, industry and mine.



During the meeting, Khalili appreciated Iran's great assistance during his country's difficult time, saying Kabul is willing to boost all-out ties with Tehran.



Underlining the need for presence of Iranian investors in his country, he called for expansion of Tehran-Kabul cooperation in different fields of education, industry, gas supply, anti-drug campaign, mine and railroad construction.
