deep concern over the worsening situation in Gaza Strip.

In a phone contact Sunday evening, the two presidents urged the Muslim states to help stop the humanitarian crisis in Gaza Strip.

"Islamic states' cooperation and help is necessary to stop Zionists crimes in Gaza and provide humanitarian aid for the helpless people of Gaza," stressed the two heads of states in the telephone contact which was made by the Qatari side.

They also stressed the need for conducting an emergency meeting by members of the Organization of the Islamic Conference to make necessary decisions about assisting the innocent people of Palestine who were suffering from the ongoing tense situation in the region resulted from economic blockade of the Gaza Strip by Israel.

Gaza blockade which has been exacerbated by the disruption of electricity and lack of medical supplies have created a very tense situation.

Hundreds of innocent people fell victims to impacts of the blockade and some 71 percent of children in the area are suffering from malnutrition.

Being on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe, Gaza residents are in dire need of medicine and food supplies.

President Ahmadinejad and the Emir of Qatar urged the Muslim states to use different ways, including exerting further pressure on Israel, to stop inhuman crimes in Gaza.

The two presidents also called on all nations to provide Gazans with emergency medicine and food supplies.

Meanwhile, They extended congratulation on Eid al-Adha (the feast of the sacrifice) to all Muslims wishing solidarity and more brotherhood to the Islamic Ummah.
