President Ahmadinejad made the remarks in a meeting with his Ecuadorian counterpart, President Rafael Correa Delgado.



President Delgado, heading a high-ranking delegation arrived in Tehran Friday evening to review issues of mutual interest with his Iranian counterpart and other senior officials.



Iran is ready to broaden relations with its friends, Ahmadinejad said.



During talks with Ecuadorian delegation, President Ahmadinejad called for expansion of all-out ties between the two countries.



Highlighting strategic ties between the two countries, the two presidents called for speeding up expansion of ties.



Iran and Ecuador should take advantage of existing capabilities to help deepen and broaden ties in various fields, the two presidents said.

They said that joint economic commission would be significant to develop mutual ties and that the commission must help implement the agreements already signed between the two countries.



Referring to the revolutionary spirit in both nations, they underlined that expansion of bilateral ties would be to the benefit of both nations along with global peace and security.



There exists ample of untapped economic potentials in both countries which should be further explored, they said.



Energy, industry, economy, banking, investment, tourism, technological-know how, electricity and water, were pointed out the fields for cooperation.



The Ecuadorian president, for his part, acknowledged Iran's significant progress and development in various fields and said his country is to make use of such developments.
