Addressing large groups of people on his 48th provincial tour, President Ahmadinejad said that administering justice and maintaining Islamic and national dignity is among other responsibilities of the government.





President: Bush's fate should serve as eye-opener 



President said that the outgoing US President George W. Bush's destiny should serve as an eye-opener.



"Take lessons from the fate of the US President (George W.) Bush," President Ahmadinejad said addressing western powers.



President Ahmadinejad also advised the big powers not to do behave mischievously and tread the path to justice along with their nation.



He said gone is the era of military build-up and militarism.



Elsewhere in his remarks, the president said promotion of unity, brotherliness, kindness and love among people from different walks of life is among the main duties of the Iranian government.



He noted that administering justice and maintaining Islamic and national dignity is among the other responsibilities of the government.



President Ahmadinejad, accompanied by his cabinet members, is in the northwestern province of East Azarbaijan.



Some 22 cabinet ministers, advisors to president and vice presidents are accompanying Ahmadinejad.



The president is to tour the province on the second round of his visit to East Azarbaijan province to follow up the implementation of the projects approved during the first round of his visit.



During his stay in Tabriz, he is due to address public meetings, visit deprived cities, meet religious scholars and clerics, families of martyrs and war veterans, elaborate on the government's plans and hold a press conference.



He took the initiative of visiting different provinces when he assumed office in 2005 in order to bring the government and the ordinary people closer.
