President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad along with his cabinet members departed for East Azarbaijan province, northwestern Iran, on Wednesday.

Some 22 cabinet ministers, advisors to president and vice presidents are accompanying Ahmadinejad.



The president is to visit the province on the second round of his tours to East Azarbaijan province to follow up implementation of the projects that had been approved during the first round of his visits.



During his stay in Tabriz, he is due to address the people in the province, visit deprived cities, meet with Ulema, clerics, families of martyrs and war veterans, elaborate on government's plans and hold press conference.



He made the initiative to visit different provinces since he took office in 2005 in order to bring closer the government to ordinary people.
