Addressing a live interview broadcast from TV channel one, the president added that his government has cut dependence of the budget plan on oil revenues by 10 percent, so that formerly the oil revenues made up for 62 percent of the budget plan, but, the current budget plan has only envisaged 52 percent for oil revenues.



"It is strategy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to rid the national budget plan from the oil revenues. We are moving forward. My government has made good with slashing 10 percent of dependence on oil revenues," President Ahmadinejad said.



Condemning the recent Mumbai terrorist attack, he said the terrorist and savage act was designed and operated by foreign powers aiming to create tension in India-Pakistan relations.



"I believe that the main objectives of terrorist action targeted India and may be China," the president said.



Presence of foreign powers in Afghanistan has no benefit for them, he said, adding that Afghanistan neither enjoy an active economy nor has major resources.



It seems that Afghanistan is only a base to target both India and China, he said.



Ahmadinejad further stressed that such crises would have no effect on Iran, saying, the Islamic Republic is a stable country making mediation efforts to establish tranquility in the entire world.
