Gov't key plans to generate sustainable employment in 1397 discussed/Stressing removing obstacles, improving business atmosphere in cyberspace/Job opportunities in heavy transportation system renovation scheme

The Supreme Council of Employment convened on Saturday in a session chaired by President Rouhani and discussed the most important plans of the government to generate sustainable employment in next Iranian year 1397.

The members also discussed renovation of old neighbourhoods and the heavy transportation system schemes and the related organs were tasked with pursuing sustainable employment in the schemes.

Based on what was decided in this regard, the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) was tasked with drafting and presenting its financing.

It is estimated that the housing renovation scheme create 280,000 new jobs each year for at least 100,000 new housing.

Ministries and executive organs were also instructed to prioritise their infrastructural and superstructural plans in allocating the required credit based on priority.

The panel also discussed employment in the cyberspace and the obstacles on the path of development of the field, as well as improvement of specialized businesses.

Based on what was discussed, the Ministry of Labour, Cooperatives and Social Welfare and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology were tasked with removing the obstacles such as taxation and insurance.

It is estimated that in year 1397, around 100,000 new jobs will be generated in information technology and the cyberspace, following the same number in the current year.

A number of schemes were also discussed in the meeting, based on which real-life training at the workplace will emphasised and supported.
