President Hassan Rouhani, who was chairing the meeting, said: "People must feel the observation of Charter on Citizens' Rights in their daily lives", stressing that all executive organs must pay especial attention to this matter.

He continued: "Executive organs must be pioneers of removing unjust discriminations and the rights of ethnic and religious groups and women".

"Although full observation of citizenship rights are related to other institutions and branches, the executive branch must be the pioneer of its observation," he continued.

The President added: "The right to have access to information, the right to a clear, competitive economy, the right to employment and some of the 22 key components of the charter need serious work".

He also called on all executive organs to report their first steps in implementing the charter on the first anniversary of its implementation.
