In the meeting of Iranian and Bolivian high-ranking delegations;

President: Iran ready to boost ties with Bolivia

Iran welcomes expanding and cementing ties with all Latin American countries, especially Bolivia, said President Rouhani in the meeting of high-ranking delegations of Iran and Bolivia in Tehran.

In this meeting which was held on Tuesday, President Rouhani said: “We are ready to share our experiences and capabilities in different areas such as technology, engineering, and agriculture with Bolivia”.

Stating that Iran and Bolivia have got good relations in consultation and cooperation in the area of oil and gas and energy, Dr Rouhani added: “The two countries can cooperate well and expand ties in areas such as the interests of producers and buyers of energy”.

Underlining the need to complete projects and implement the MoUs between the two countries, President continued: “Iran and Bolivia have got the needed and sufficient political will to develop ties in all areas including economy, science, commerce, and culture, as well as energy, healthcare services, and investment”.

“The heads of joint committees of both countries should identify and remove obstacles of this path of expansion of ties and relations in order for us to make the best of the environment of good relations between Iran and Bolivia to the benefit of developing relations and cooperation” added Rouhani.

Dr Rouhani also talked about the cooperation of the two countries on combating terrorism and unilateralism and said: “We believe that in today’s world, all countries have the right to one vote in international assemblies and no country should allow itself to meddle in the affairs of other countries; that is because our view is that independence and sovereignty of other countries is of vital significance and it will not be acceptable that some countries violate the rights of other nations”.

“We believe that in Syria, Yemen, and other parts of the world, terrorism should be fought with and countries have no right to meddle in the internal affairs of other countries. To solve the issues, effort should be put on reaching a political solution in line with a focus on demands of the nations” continued the President.

Arguing that today all countries should resist against terrorist groups, Dr Rouhani added: “We should not let terrorist groups to easily carry out their anti-human acts and the rights of other nations be violated by the bullying powers”.

In this meeting, President Morales expressed his gratitude for being invited by the Islamic Republic of Iran to participate in the GECF Summit in Tehran and said: “This Summit was very important for the member states and it was held successfully and competently”.

On the amicable ties between the two countries, the Bolivian President stressed developing ties in all areas with Iran and mentioned the projects being carried out by Iranian engineers in Bolivia. He also called for developing cooperation and transferring Iran’s capabilities and technical technologies in different areas to Bolivia.

Praising Iran’s stance in fighting with terrorism in the world, President Morales said: “Terrorism has always plagued the independent and anti-imperialism countries by the support they receive form superpowers. All countries should cooperate and unite in combating this crisis”.
